Whilst having different business requirements to retail organisations, the leisure industry can benefit from footfall analysis.  Taking a casino environment as an example in addition to counting the actual number of visitors, with strategic placement of internal counters at key points, it would be possible to monitor the popularity of the roulette table over, blackjack and gaming machines. 

For the local leisure centre, monitoring of traffic through the various zones; swimming pool, fitness studio, viewing area, cafe etc, would enable the analysis of not only the various diverse activities but also how these activities perform one against the other or even as a result of another.  For instance, where are the opportunities to cross-sale leisure activities or refreshments those who are just dropping off or picking up from a leisure complex.
